To My Amazing Parents

Hello family guess what I have time to write today yay!

Well the blessing of warm weather has dissipated and we now have snow and today it is going to go down to -20, ready to buckle up because it's about time for Ontario to strike back!

We had some great success stories with some of the Less Active members around here, one of the Brothers served 2 tours in Afghanistan and now suffers from PTSD and has a hard time coming to church. He has a sincere desire to prepare to receive his endowments and to be sealed to his wife and son, just yesterday we were in Elders Quorum and he heard his voice from behind answering some of the questions we turned and were amazed of the progress he just made this week!

Another family has been making plans for the temple this year! ah yeah!!

Last night we were going around to visit members and we felt inspired to go to a family where the parents divorced recently, cool enough that we knocked on the door when they started the Book of Mormon all over again as a family and had just read "I Nephi having been born of goodly parents" ....Knock Knock!! The missionaries! Their youngest daughter will be getting to baptism age and she is having her brother perform her baptism, so before we left we thought that it would be good to show them how to do the baptism... pretty cute!

Went on exchanges and I wanted to work on being more patient and more positive in the things I say, well the Lord provided we walked all day and all the people we talked too like to TALK! In the Evening several appointments fell off schedule and I was able to help both of us to say only good things, that made the day much more enjoyable.

I was very pleased with the fact that the Gospel Doctrines class is on the Book of Mormon this year, i went up and bore testimony of the Book of Mormon in testimony meeting. One of the things that the teacher said was interesting, " The title of this lesson is the Book of Mormon the Keystone of our religion, I wish to change this title to help you ponder personally too "Is the Book of Mormon the Keystone of Your Religion?" Very profound thought, I will have you know I have been reading it a little more since hearing that hahaha. I echo the testimony of Joseph Smith that "a man may get nearer to God by abiding by its precepts then by any other book!" It definitely has rang true for me!

I am also going through the Old Testament all the way through and I am currently at Psalms 90 and I am loving it! The Old Testament is just legit!

Always thrilled to hear that people are moving on in life towards marriage or something, although it makes me think, "who is going to still be in YSA when I get back?" Hahaha

Mother, I am so grateful for your continual love and show of affection for your children it is a burning example to me of great parenting and Heavenly sent motherhood. I wouldn't be of any worth at all in my life if it were not for the protective bond I share with my Mama. You taught me to pray, read, trust in God, showed a constant example of enduring afflictions with a spirit of faith. Constantly being proud of the achievements of your little ones by merely expressing a smile is divine! Someone to laugh and play with, someone to lean on when trials come my way. How I am so blessed that our Heavenly Parents cared so much for me to be placed in the care of your life's example. AHH I just love you so much!

Dad, I too wish to express my undaunted love for you, constantly firm in testimony of the Lord, always pushing your children in the direction that is best for them. Being the model of fatherhood that I as well as the rest of the boys will continually follow throughout our lives, though we won't be able to quite shadow your experience in that regard. How I am in awe of the fact that I was accepted and taken in as your own, sealed for eternity to the greatest plead I ever made to God my Daddy! your missionary experience has brought you with the knowledge and guidance of the spirit that you constantly emanate through your service and magnification of your callings as dad, husband, home teacher, ward mission leader, etc! You are able to show through your parenting the love of that of Lehi (2 Nephi 2: 30) "My sons...I have none other object save it be the everlasting welfare of your souls."

I have the most fantastic dynamic duo on the Earth!

(2 Nephi 25: 23 & 26)
